Views of 4B01 (back to top) Flowers grace an entrance to Brummel Manor on Blair Road. This red-shingled house sits on Blair Road, near Fern Place. Betty Harris stands in front of her Blair Road house, planted right up to the street with flowers and greenery.

Other places in 4B01 [and one from 4B02 -- which one?] (back to top)

Hallelujah!! (back to top) For years there were tree stumps in the sidewalk grates in front of the playground and along Dahlia Street, N.W. As of Arbor Day, 4/25/08, there are trees again. Kudos to Takoma Educatioin Center and DC's Urban Forestry Division. Following before and after pix are some pictures of the ceremony.

Marker (back to top) Does anyone know what this is? This stone sits across the street from ANC 4B01 on a traffic island at the intersection of Alaska, Kalmia and Georgia. It's dated "1932" on the bottom and has insignias from Maryland and the District of Columbia. It had a chipped corner and was also nearly split in two. Now it has been repaired. Here are two before/after pairs:
